The Ironman OR Crazy Day at The Beach

We have this 4th of July tradition where I live in Hermosa Beach - it's called the "ironman".  Basically you run, paddle, and then drink a 6 pack - as fast as you can.

Hey, I didn't' say it was classy - just that it's a 4th of July small beach town tradition.

People dress up, everyone has fun. The party starts with the race at 10 AM and goes into the night ending with fireworks off the ocean.  Long and fun day.

    Love it! Great photos Cindy! I can't believe this event made the NYT a few days ago. Seems like every year they are trying to make it go away. I hope it never happens. SOOOO fun!!

    Oh my gosh I kind of love this tradition. And I love the fact that it ends with drinking a six pack haha. Everyone looks like they're having such a blast!!
