Tournament Of Roses Parade - Behind the Scenes

I have seen the Rose Parade on TV my entire life. But until a few days ago I had never been to the site where the floats are made to see how it's done. So frigging amazing! Tons of volunteers, zillions of flowers and other plant materials all being used to make everything you see on these gorgeous floats. The sheer amount of people and time it takes for each one is crazy!  As you can see in some shots the floats are so tall that pieces had to be made to "detach" (like the turrets of the castle) to fit in/out of the building. So today when I watch the parade I will have a whole new appreciation for what goes into these amazing floats.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!
