I really hate it when big name designers copy shit that's been around for years (if you surfed back in the 70's or ever went to Mexico you know what I am talking about here) and stick their label on it for 30x the price.
Spotted on Olvera Street in DT LA... Traditional Baja surf hoodies for $10.95- $12.95...
OR you can cruise on over to Tory Burch (see top photo) and shell out $325 on one.
Who's stupid now?

You're absolutely right... happens WAY too often. I have one of those from Mexico and it's a lot nicer than the Tory Burch!

Yes, there will always be people with more money than sense, and, there will always be those that are smart enough to take advantage of that.
that is so funny! ever since you posted about this I have been on the lookout and yesterday the BF scored a rad one in Santa Cruz, none my size but the search continues....
I remember all the hacky sack dudes wearing these in the 90s. In fact I think the character Travis Birkenstock wore one in the movie Clueless. ; )
Designers do it all the time and I think it's pretty crazy when you come across something like it! I think charging over $300.00 for a hoodie is ridiculous, not to mention being a copycat! xoxoxoo
Absolutely, I thought the same when I saw these... They are probably even made in the same factory. Not good.
