Kiss Me

Slightly disturbing but I love these images!

This is the Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag I ordered at the Opening Ceremony AW trunk show a couple weeks back. When AW himself tells you its a "must have" you buy it.

Waiting (not so) patiently for it to arrive...

Sign Me Up

I want everything in this new SIMONE look book.

Edgy and cool yet girlish and fun.

I also like that they used Jane from the blog SEA OF SHOES as their model....

Walking In A Spider Web

I thought I would try using a tripod and the self timer on my camera to do an outfit post.
So here it goes...
The last photo of the boots was strange as somehow it did a double exposure and made the leather leggings take on a reflection of the black and red Thomas Wylde spider top.
Weird, yet kinda cool.

A Touch of Frivolity

Edited by Retro Chick It’s been a long time since pay day and this weeks Links à la Mode brings a touch of much needed frivolity as we crawl into the second month of a new decade. Idiosyncratic Style takes Scooby Doo’s Velma as her style inspiration, Dirty Hems is inspired by dolls houses and Ode to Awe shows off her leopard print nails. Want something for nothing? A few Goody Gumdrops has an Aspinall of London bag to giveaway and Retro Chick (that’s me!) has 2 Valentine goodie bags to giveaway worth over £100 each. We’ve also got some great designer interviews and some practical advice.
On a more sober note there’s some timely tips from Sway, Sway, Sway! on how you can continue to donate to Haiti without getting scammed, Shoe Daydreams discusses Tanya Golds “Why I hate Fashion” article and Ventures of Jenn shares her opinions on the body image debate.
Bring on February!

Love Your Face

For years I have asked my friend and make-up artist to the stars Dawn Brocco how her skin stays so smooth and clear. Well now I know. Dawn has launched her new skin care line AHIMSA and I am now in in on the secret.  Its a really amazing, all vegan, cruelty free line that makes your skin feel vibrant and leaves it glowing!

As per blogger disclosure - Dawn gave me some samples and I recently started using the rejuvenating tonic and the evening elixir. Because I am a bit lazy and 2 steps seemed like a lot for me (ha ha ha!) I took Dawn's advice and mixed the 2 together and lightly massaged them into my skin each night. The rose hip oil that's in the elixir smells so good and actually helps me to sleep. I can see the results of the rejuvinating tonic already working. With its combo of glycolic acid and luronic acid my skin is looking smoother and less blotchy from the lovely sun damage I have accumulated over the years surfing and skating.

Its a really simple and easy routine that I actually enjoy doing before bedtime and my skin is looking great!

Right now AHIMSA is donating 10% of its profits to Haiti so jump on over to their Etsy Store and check it out.

Honey I'm Home

The Modern Snow Bunny

Do you remember the days when skiing was glamorous and elite? I was starting to think it was a thing of the past, kind of like airline travel...

In fact rarely do you come across a women's sports apparel line that is as gorgeous and luxurious as it is technically correct.  That's what got me so excited about this new ski wear line by Circe Snow. Circe knows her shit - she was a former pro snowboarder and is involved to this day with elite athletes, on the snow and off. Thankfully she realized that the ski market was lacking in something - a luxurious line of apparel and accessories for women that also would actually hold their own technically on the mountain, whether you were skiing at the local resort or heli skiing in the Alps.

The 1 piece ski suits as well as the 2 piece jacket and ski pants are made from waterproof stretch satin and are constructed from recycled fabrics, which I love. There are underarm and leg vents, zip off hoods, and seam sealed construction which helps keeps you warm and dry. There are also these amazing interchangeable trim kits that help you glam up or down depending on your mood.

Circe Snow has brought back the glamorous girl to the slopes.  Luxurious fabrics and attention to style with performance enhancing features make this the new case for modern luxury.

Sexy, luxurious, and functional - I'm loving it.

Gorgeous black clutch and black rocker belt - I'd wear this belt and bag all the time.

The beautiful and fun, Babushka Hat

Black leather gloves and a beautiful ruffled belt

The champagne clutch slides onto the belt for 2 ways to use it. The Kit carrier holds everything you need for accessorizing - which is a girls best friend on and off the slopes.

See the whole line and place orders at Circe Snow
