Gossip Girl - No More

Ventured out to the El Rey on Friday night to hear Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless play. My friend, Jamie and I scored a table in the balcony, free drinks all night and arrived just before she went on. I really can't believe Taylor is only 17, from her look, to her on stage presence and killer voice, she seems much older/seasoned. She sounded amazing and we were home by midnight - a perfect night for me. Super tired from back to back shoots but so glad I went!

The Music Box - Lissie and The Pierces

Random snaps from Saturday night. Ventured out with my friend Jamie to a club in Hollywood to listen to some rad female musicians.  Had to sneak my camera in - can't believe it got through security as they searched my bag like mad. I think the furry fox tail on my moto bag kept them off track.  Loved the opening act - The Pierces, gonna be one of my fav new bands now. Lissie is great in person - missed her concert in October so glad I got off my damn ass to make this one.  We drank lemon drops, had killer seats in the balcony, some great girl time, and 3 hrs of awesome music. I was stoked.

Rocco DeLuca

Was lucky to get to do an interview with indie rock singer Rocco Deluca (his music is amazing!) recently for The Strand Magazine.

Here is the article - hope you enjoy it!

You can check out Rocco's music on itunes.

The Pretty Reckless Part 1

Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless  played at The Van's Warped Tour this past Friday -   I am loving their music - I have it on repeat and can't get enough of "Make Me Wanna Die".

Yes I know she is on Gossip Girl - but you tend to forget all  that once she starts singing. And I like her sense of style.

Angus and Julia Stone

Our friends Danna and Jeff invited us to see Angus and Julia Stone play at The Hollywood Forever Cemetery this past Wednesday night. I had never heard of the brother and sister duo from Australia but everyone told me how great they were. I have to say they were amazing!  I would suggest downloading from itunes if you don't have their album.

Loved the location for this concert - it was inside the Masonic Lodge on the Cemetery property and had a very cool old Hollywood vibe to it.
