Surf's Up In Pasadena

 

Clothes Heaven in Pasadena never fails to inspire me. While they always have vintage/hard to find/amazing things, these Chanel "surf" pieces grabbed my attention like nothing else. Iconic and bold, I can see these fitting right in on the beach in Malibu or the Hamptons. And you probably already guessed, I was all over that chunky Chanel jewelry pictured above.  It's really too bad I only have two arms to do the "arm party" with. *sigh*....

Chanel On The Street

saw this girl waiting in line for one of the food trucks when I was at Unique LA. Felt like a bit of a stalker shooting her as we waited. But whatever, sometimes it pays to be stealth with the camera. I was intrigued by her bag and shoes... Does anyone know - are the shoes really Chanel?

D.L. and Co. gold skull candle, Jonathon Adler "Boob Vase" (that's a real conversation starter!),  some of my fashion books, a great Chanel box that I use to store receipts, Match pewter box that I now use for my business cards, a gray vintage Balenciaga bag I just scored, Malibu hanging out on the new rug from West Elm, a quirky take on the "Keep Calm and Carry On" calendar from Etsy, animal prints by Sharon Montrose,  pool print and photo of the girl are by my talented husband Ian.

All in all it's slowly "starting" come together!

Love staying at The Palomar, a "welcome back" fruit plate, yellow American Apparel clutch, BCBG Generation bra, UO Pink 4 nail polish, Chanel Sunglasses, Mexican Pepsi, WSJ Magazine with Anna, YSL peep toe, Club Monaco ring, should have packed warmer clothes...

Are You F-ing Kidding?

I really don't think anyone in the action sports world really wants or needs a Chanel surfboard or snowboard - in fact my friends wouldn't be caught dead with them... But it does show that "alternative" sports are catching the eye of big fashion houses as they desperately try to tap into whats "cool".

Maybe the zodiac would be appropriate for your yacht while vacationing in St. Tropez ...

 

 

 

 

Not If I Beat You To It

Chanel has solved my issue of "do I or don't I" about getting a tattoo. After showing these cool transfer tattoos on the Spring 2010 runway they have (smartly) decided to come out with a set that will be for sale to the public -hitting stores March 2010. Better run!
