Reckless Sunday

A "It's Not About Pretty" Production
Skating & styling - Cindy Whitehead
Film By - Ian Logan

Sometimes I get bored when I have a day off and come up with weird shit I want to do. Luckily Ian will pretty much
go along with anything and agreed to find some great locations & film me for this video that involves Fashion x Skate.
 It's called RECKLESS SUNDAY.

And yeah, that's the Thomas Wylde skull caftan & The Row black leather leggings I am wearing to skate in -
like I always say - street + fashion + sport is all one in my book.

Let me know what you think.

 Grazia

Every year in fashion something is always the "new black".
This years it's sports.
Can't imagine how I knew that was coming...

Home Work

 photos ian logan

As some of you may remember from a past post, I have been (seems like
forever!) re-doing my office. I finally have some of my favorite things out where
I can actually enjoy them.

D.L. and Co. gold skull candle, Jonathon Adler "Boob Vase" (that's a real conversation starter!),  some of my fashion books, a great Chanel box that I use to store receipts, Match pewter box that I now use for my business cards, a gray vintage Balenciaga bag I just scored, Malibu hanging out on the new rug from West Elm, a quirky take on the "Keep Calm and Carry On" calendar from Etsy, animal prints by Sharon Montrose,  pool print and photo of the girl are by my talented husband Ian.

All in all it's slowly "starting" come together!

Fall Lust

I'm still really enjoying summer, but how great is this fur vest from Vince for fall?

I Have A New Column!

I keep forgetting to mention that I now have a column in Muscle and Fitness HERS Magazine!

Its called "Taking it to the Streets", and for each issue, I select and write about various pieces of apparel that I think are great for a toned body and why.  I really enjoying writing, fashion and sports so this combines my all my fav's.

I hope if you come across HERS in your supermarket, newsstand, drugstore or bookstore (it's carried everywhere - even Walmart and Target!) you will pick it up and let me know what you think!

The July/August issue - which should hit stands this week - is all about the perfect swimsuit for your body. Had so much fun looking through tons of gorgeous swimwear for that one!

Here are the past two issues...

Look Again

This is one of the most unusual look books I have seen in a long time.
The make-up, the photography and the design are all very interesting.

Betsy Bloomingdale & the Haute Couture

The gorgeous book from the exhibit - featuring some of the gowns on display and their history

Two of my favorites - both by Givenchy - petals and feathers

Christian Dior gown with boned corset - on the right, the "Croquis" for Betsy's dress

Christian Dior Gowns

Dior on the left, Yves Saint Laurent on the right

Karl Lagerfield for Chanel dress.  The tags Betsy used to tell her when + where a dress had been worn

Ian and I went to this amazing exhibit at FIDM Museum in Los Angeles that featured 60 of
Betsy Bloomingdale's Haute Couture ensembles from 1961 to 1996.
Show is up now through December 13.
